Seneca’s Addy Jones – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Rally Networks

Seneca cheerleader Abby Jones told Prep Sports in a recent interview “my favorite part of being on the team this year is that we all work for each other and want the best for our team. We are also like a big group of best friends and it makes doing what I love so much better”.

This season Jones has been working to “of course, win another State title (which we did). But also, to develop new relationships with my teammates and make lots of fun memories”. Along the way she leaned on the teams leadership sharing “We have had strong leaders all 3 years I have been a Varsity Cheerleader and I look up to all of them all for different reasons. However, I think the Seniors my Freshman year probably left the biggest impression on me”.

Jones has volunteered her time as a coach for the “3rd Grade Youth Cheer squad this past year”. Something close to her heart as she told Prep Sports “Cheerleading is a very mental sport, and it has taught me that if there is something you want, and you put your mind to it, you can achieve it. It has also taught me that hard work and never giving up pays off in the long run”.

Away from cheer Jones is also involved in “Student Council and FBLA, because I feel like they both help develop leadership qualities. In the off-season, I also run track to make sure I stay in shape”. She also took time to give the following shoutout saying “I am most thankful for my parents who have given me the opportunity to do what I love and my whole family for always being at every game and competition to support me. I am also thankful for all of my coaches who have helped shape me into the athlete I am today”.
