Head coach Jeff Sill paused from coaching the varsity softball team just long enough for us to catch a quick Q&A with him.

A: I started coaching at Seneca in 2003, Carl Junction 2001-2003, and Carthage 1996-2000.
Q: Have you always coached softball or have you coached other sports?
A: I’ve coached wrestling, softball, football, baseball, golf and track.
Q: What do you enjoy most about coaching?
A: Helping student-athletes achieve their goals and reach their maximum capabilities as member on a team or in the community.
Q: What is one lesson you hope your athletes take with them once they have graduated?
A: Continue to find the power and potential they have within themself and push past the comfort zone.
Q: How do you feel about this year’s team and their potential?
A: Continue to work hard and perform to the best of our abilities and grow as one unit.
Q: Who is your mentor when it comes to being a coach? Maybe someone you have leaned on for advice or someone you respect as a coach?
A: I’ve been blessed to have several coaches influence or bounce ideas off of throughout my life.
