Seneca senior and cheer co-captain Annie Caputo told Prep Sports “My favorite part of being on this team is the bond I have with the girls. We always have a good time wherever we are and it makes the whole season really fun. I also love how much we push each other to be the best we can be. We work really hard throughout the year and it pays off in the end and it makes it so much better getting to do it with the girls that are like my sisters”.
Caputo has spent the year striving “to become a better leader and work the hardest I can for myself and my teammates. I also want to make fun memories and just enjoy my last year cheering for Seneca”.
Alongside her for that journey will be her “best friend” Taya Stewart. Caputo shared that Stewart “has left the biggest impression on me because she has pushed me to be my best and has been by my side through everything. She has helped me countless times and I am so thankful that I have gotten to cheer with Taya since 2nd grade. She has made cheering so much fun and I am so glad we get to cheer our senior year together”.
Together the pair “had a lot of fun at our cheer camp this summer. Even though it was exhausting we still made the best out of it and had a lot of fun together. I really loved being able to team bond all week and we made a lot of fun memories this summer”.
Caputo also represents the Seneca Indians through her participation “in National Honors Society for two years and then Student Council for four years” saying “I have also gotten an Academic letter all four years of high school”.
