Drew Schulte is the coach of the Seneca High School Girls’ Basketball team. Schulte told VYPE that one of the things he enjoys the most about being a coach is “watching the growth of the players.” Of course, we think it’s important to note that he’s not just referring to basketball players – he also coaches the Girls’ Golf team.
When asked to name his favorite coworker, Schulte was adamant that the Seneca High Custodians deserve all the praise in the world for “all their hard work and the preparations they make for school events.”
This isn’t the only hard work Schulte wants to highlight as this is a story about his experience as a coach. He told VYPE that the flexibility and hard work of this season’s Lady Indians made quite an impression on him. From their wins this season to their volunteer work with “Special Ed Crossfit” the basketball team has been “unwavering” in their devotion to each other and the team.
Some of that might have to do with Coach Schulte’s way of incentivizing his players this season. We were told that prior to their win of a particular game, the players came to an agreement with Schulte. If they won he had to do the griddy. Needless to say – he held up his end of the bargain.
