Seneca cheerleader Jessika Williams believes the key to being a good cheerleader is more than just showing up to sporting events.
It is about a bond.
“I believe that the importance of a good cheer squad is bonding and friendship,” Williams said. “It is very difficult to have a good, skilled team if your teammates don’t get along and don’t want to work together to achieve our goals.”
Friday nights during football season are long days, but ones that Williams appreciates.
“Game days are always crazy,” Williams said. “We normally go get ready after school and meet back at the school around 5:45 when it is a home game and about 4:30 for away games.”
Williams has been a part of a great deal of success at Seneca and those are her favorite memories.
“My favorite moment so far has definitely been winning state twice,” Williams said.
After high school, Williams plans on going to City Point Beauty Academy to become an esthetician and then the following year she would like to go to Crowder College and take some business classes.
