Seneca wide receiver Conner Ackerson was a first team all-conference and all-district selection last season, but take away all of the awards and accolades and Ackerson thinks there is one reason why the Indians have been so successful this season.
“The biggest thing I have taken away from this year is that if we can all play together we can play some very good football,” said Ackerson, who was also an honorable mention all-conference safety and all district and all-conference outfielder in baseball.
While Ackerson is one of the top receivers in the area, he still has to balance how to utilize his strengths, while also trying to improve his weaknesses.
“I think my biggest strength is that I’m very coachable, and my biggest weakness is if I’m down on myself it takes a lot for me to pull myself back up and together,” Ackerson said. “What I’ve been doing to improve my weakness is letting things go and having a short
memory while I’m playing sports.”
After he graduates from Seneca, Ackerson wants to continue his football career in college and study business.
